That was just the sampler platter to what went on to become one Jimmy Fallon’s best moments ever. And if you’re a die-hard Kelly Clarkson fan like moi, well then, this was just everything for you. So here’s what went down. Don’t know if you heard this blasphemy earlier in the week but the OG American Idol went on the record to basically say no one wants to duet with her and that she’s asked people but they all say “No.” Here’s where you all probably were like – insert weird Joslyn Face – Well, thank God for Jimmy Fallon who had this to say:
And then things got crazy awesome as the pair went on to sing some of the most iconic duets in the history of music
Again, that was just the tip of the iceberg…The history of Duets also included: Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s “Islands in the Stream,” Paula Abdul and The Wild Pair’s “Opposites Attract” and Pink and Nate Ruess’ “Just Give Me Reason,” to name a few… and I gotta say, hopefully some of those people Kelly wanted to collab with were watching and regretting their poor decision. On the real though, I’m guessing other singers are probably intimidated by her because girlfriend kills it at life and does not care what anyone thinks of her at all and I’m obsessed. In fact, I totally connect because I tried to get someone to sing a duet with me at Clevver and everyone refused. Who cares – I can sing alone:
