It’s official. Taylor Swift has received her pop street cred from one of the OG members of the pop royal family – Madonna.
During an interview on Australia’s “Today” show, Madonna basically knighted Taylor saying QUOTE - “It’s good to have princesses [of pop]. It means there’s lots of pretty dresses around. I like Taylor Swift. I think she writes some really catchy pop songs. I can’t get them out of my head.”
And naturally, Taylor flipped the flip out. Upon discovering that Madonna actually said this and she wasn’t just dreaming, Taylor responded on tumblr with a repost of M’s quote and a sign of her whole existence being slayed saying QUOTE – “Thanks now I’m dead. #how am I supposed to deal with this #BE COOL TAYLOR STOP BEING EMBARRASSING.”
Um can you blame her?? It’s Madonna! That’s like Ronald McDonald telling a chef ‘I like your fries.’
And on top of receiving a stamp of approval from the material girl, Taylor’s bf Sam Smith had some kind words to say about his friend as well. In an interview for the February issue of GQ, Sam tells the magazine QUOTE - “Taylor Swift is amazing… She’s a role model. I really respect her. And she manages to sell a lot of records and make a lot of people happy financially, but also to keep that soulfulness, that honesty.”
Gotta love ya some Taylor Swift. It’s legit an epidemic.
