There are some great food streets in Kuala Lumpur, places where you can sit on the street, in the outdoors and order food from various stalls. Jalan Alor is perhaps the most famous food street in Kuala Lumpur. Thomas describes it like the Disneyland of food streets. It's packed with tourists and it's expensive. For a more local, authentic experience we suggest tracking down some lesser visited spots like Jalan Peel where we filmed this video. Malaysian street food is amazing!

We sample:
- chicken and beef satay from Suhiari Majid Satay (Suhairi Majid has been in business since 1964!!!!);
- chicken wings;
- freshly squeezed sugarcane juice;
- Cantonese Mee Hoon;
- nasi lemak; and
- tong sui (Chinese sweet soup) both an iced and hot version.

Our top picks for the food on Jalan Peel out of everything we tried were the satay, chicken wings and the tong sui.
