Nicki Minaj kicked off the BBMAs with a brief history of her mega singles. Male dancers in wigs, young girls dressed like Nicki, and acrobats performed through Nicki’s songs including: Beez in the Trap, Starships, Anaconda, Superbass, and Moment for Life. All before Nicki even came out on stage. Images of Nicki slithering in a gas mask finally introduced the singer who came out rapping “No Frauds” from a lit up platform with male dancers in gas masks. Lil Wayne pleasantly surprised us showing up to rap his verse in the Remy Ma diss track.
And it was far from over there. A new stage opened up to the left and David Guetta appeared to spin their song “Light My Body Up”, while Nicki performed in front of him- take a look.
No doubt one of the best parts of the entire performance was Nicki’s planned face plant-slash-grinding moves on the floor! Next up, Jason Derulo popped out on stage to sing his song with Nicki “Swalla”. Nicki gathered the girls for this one and did some epic chair choreography.
Finally, Nicki performed “Regret In Your Tears” complete with a huge Grecian fountain on stage.
