Well, you guys… it seems like Selena Gomez and her mom’s relationship may finally be on the right track!
If you remember, the two had a MAJOR falling out at the end of last year, which was rumored to be partially caused by Sel’s decision to get back together with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
Not only did the Selena and her mom unfollow each other on Instagram amid the drama, but Mandy later took to Facebook in mid-January to make it clear that Selena makes her own decisions, and that she only tries to protect her daughter.
Mandy wrote, QUOTE, “I taught Selena to be a strong woman, but as everyone in their 20s, she is finding herself. I am a threat to the people who are trying to take advantage of her because she knows she can trust me and I love her. So, they put dents in our family. That is not love, friendship or the way Gods love works. That is manipulation for selfish gain.” She ended her rant by saying, QUOTE, “If she hasn’t muttered anger about me than I have not done my job as a mother."
While it’s unclear whether or not she was making a reference to Justin Bieber with that statement, it appears that now she’s singing a different tune.
Mandy hit the follow button on Selena’s Instagram once again yesterday, and she even posted praise for her daughters voice role in the upcoming live-action film, The Voyage of Dr. Dolittle.
She wrote, QUOTE, “Congrats Kirshenbaum [Films] @selenagomez!! Love reading press releases like this! Good peeps from great projects!! XO.”
But, before we assume that things are once again on the up and up between Selena and her mom, let it be known that Selena has not yet re-followed Mandy, nor has she liked or commented on the recent post about her upcoming film. Hmm…
