Hold up wait a minute Shawn Mendes almost starred in the best new movie ever – Love, Simon? WE need the details!
And guys not only that, Shawn is also dropping
Okay so first things first – we’ve gotta dive into this Love, Simon thing. Shawn hit Elvis Duran’s show earlier this week where he made a major reveal telling the host that YES de did almost audition for the lead role in the movie!
WOW soooo basically we can start getting excited that one day soon Shawn Mendes will defintiley be movie star? Well, actually that’s already a fact because last year we found out that Shawn is set to star in an upcoming movie musical titled Summer of Love…so we have that to look forward to. I also love that he gave props to Nick Robinson who ended up landing the role because he killed it and this movie has really meant so much to so many people. But that’s not all people – Shawn all spilled some deets about his new song “Lost in Japan,” telling Billboard: “The concept of this song is about how it feels [when] you’re about to give up, and then you don’t. That’s the whole payoff in the chorus section…It’s about something that I think everybody goes through and it’s something that I think people don’t talk about often, especially in music. “I had this dream that I was lost in this country and I woke up the next day and we had this cool piano part and the song was birthed.
Not only that – Shawn revealed that the two tracks he’s released recently are a greathint as to what the album will be like – he said: “I think people are gonna think on Thursday that it’s gonna be a rock album, and then on Friday, they’re gonna have no idea what’s going on and it’s awesome.”
