Shawn Mendes is helping us get Lost in Japan with his brand new single from his upcoming album.
Shawn Mendes just dropped ANOTHER new song and we are seriously not okay.
This has been a whirlwind week for Shawn Mendes fans and we aren’t complaining. Earlier this week, Shawn posted on social media saying that exciting news about his music was about to drop.
On Wednesday at midnight we got the first taste of new Shawn music with the song “In My Blood”. “In My Blood” is a classic Shawn song that blends well with his previous work while also showing off his improved and heartfelt song-writing.
When he first announced new music, we knew that we would also be getting something today on the 23rd, but we had no clue what it would be! Yesterday we said we hoped it was a music video or album name, but what we got was even better!
Once again at midnight Shawn dropped a BRAND NEW tune called “Lost in Japan” and it is a total bop.
“Lost in Japan” has a way more pop-funk feeling than Shawn’s other work and we love that he is willing to try new genres and branch away from what he is known for. Add that to the fact that there are steamy lyrics like “I'm a couple hundred miles from Japan, and I was thinking I could fly to your hotel tonight” and we know that this will definitely be a chart-topper.
If you need us, we’ll be listening to Shawn’s two songs exclusively for the rest of the day.
Are you as obsessed with this song as we are and do you like “In My Blood” or “Lost in Japan” more? Let us know in the comments below and then click here to get all the deets on “In My Blood”s release. I’m Erin Robinson, thanks for tuning in!
