5 Best Moments from Shawn Mendes' "Lost in Japan" Music Video

Shawn Mendes just released the music video for ‘Lost In Japan’ and if you watch it very closely, you’ll catch quite a few incredible cameos.
From beautiful shots of Japan to ’13 Reasons Why’ star Alisha Boe’s leading lady role, the music visual for Shawn’s ‘Lost In Japan’ was nothing short of perfection.
The video essentially mirrors the track with Shawn traveling around Japan, having a meet-cute with a girl in an elevator, then having the BEST night with her at a karaoke bar and from that day on he just couldn’t get her off his mind.
Honestly, the entire music video concept was incredible, but if we HAD to choose a few best moments, well these would be our top five. First off is the scene where Shawn is on set filming a commercial and you guys, his facial expressions and tux were TO DIE FOR.

Throughout the video, ’13 Reasons Why’s Alisha played Shawn’s love interested and even though the music video had a pretty moody vibe going on, every scene with her was just simply breathtaking.
Zedd also made a little cameo during the karaoke scene and watching him get super into the song with both Shawn and Alisha was pretty great.

In case you didn’t notice, the music video paid MAJOR homage to the classic film ‘Lost In Translation’ and there were quite a few specific scenes in the video that captured the movie shots perfectly.

And of course, we can’t forget this adorable elevator scene where everyone just starts dancing along to Shawn’s song. What a better way to cut the romantical tension between two people in a tiny elevator than to dance with everyone else in it, right?
