Shawn Mendes just released his highly-anticipated brand new sure-to-be-a-hit song, Treat You Better, and we’ve got your first look, or listen, right now.
Shawn Mendes just promised to treat us better and he’s off to a pretty good start with a brand new song, just in time for our summer playlist
TGIF. Shawn Mendes just took our Friday to whole new level with his brand new song, Treat You Better. On Thursday night, the 17 year old singer dropped the song, which he previously teased during in a commercial that aired during the Billboard Music Awards, and it’s safe to say that this one is going to be a chart topper. Just hours after the release, Treat You Better soared to #2 on the iTunes Top Songs chart, so it’s safe to say this one’s going to be a hit this summer.
The song begins with lyrics that read “I won’t lie to you/ I know he’s just not right for you.” So if Shawn’s tryna tell us that he’s the one for you, can you really argue with that?
Now, get your hearts ready, because Mendes also released a video of him singing performing an acoustic, raw version of Treat You Better, and his vocals are nothing short of amazing. Check it out.
Yep, I know. I KNOW. If you can’t get it enough of Treat You Better, you can catch Shawn performing the brand new song as part of The Today Show’s Summer Concert Series this July, and of course he’s currently on a world tour, so fingers crossed he’ll be adding Treat You Better to his already amazing set.
