Taylor Swift tried her hardest to stay strong throughout her trial, but it was the closing statements that pushed her over the edge.
After all, Taylor is only human.
One of the most publicized trials of the year is almost coming to an end. After six long days of sitting in court against her alleged sexual harasser, Taylor managed to stay strong, but she eventually broke down into tears during the trial’s closing arguments.
An eyewitness told E! News that they observed Taylor mouthing the words ‘wow’ in reaction to DJ David Mueller’s attorney Gabriel McFarland’s comments as well as shaking her head and sighing loudly for others to hear. Although Taylor tried to keep her cool, the eyewitness revealed that it was the photo of Taylor and Mueller that pushed the popstar over the age.
When McFarland held up the photo that was used to accuse his client of allegedly grabbing Taylor’s bare bottom, he asked the jury if that was the face of a woman who had just been assaulted. As he made that comment, Taylor began to cry and grabbed her mother’s hand for support while McFarland dismissed her claims.
Not only did McFarland question Taylor’s facial expression during his closing statement, he also questioned why Taylor’s former bodyguard Greg Dent didn’t react to the situation if he saw or thought Mueller was inappropriately touching Taylor.
The eyewitness at the trial also revealed that throughout McFarland’s closing arguments, Taylor covered her face with both hands and by the end of his statement, Taylor had a pile of tissues on the table.
