Katy Perry or Taylor Swift? Who would you choose? Well, concert promoters in Vegas just can’t decide.
MGM concert promoters are preparing to open a $375 million arena next spring and are trying to decide who should perform opening night. Rivals Katy Perry and Taylor Swift are both at the top of the list.
A source close to the negotiations told the NY Post QUOTE “The talks are at an early stage, but as you can imagine, the concert chain (AEG) has to tiptoe around both parties to keep every thing cool.”
But the problem is, everything is not cool between Katy and Taylor. The Post is also reporting that some people were hoping that the female powerhouses would co-headline the night, most think that idea is out of the question do to their longstanding feud, which was reignited recently on Twitter.
So who will the AEG Arena choose for their grand opening? The arena is expected to open just as Taylor concludes her 1989 tour, which is around the same time that Perry is expected to drop her new album.
According to the post, Katy’s reps denied knowledge of the negotiations, and Swift’s reps declined to comment.
