And just like that, he’s BACKKKKK. Ben Stiller and the star studded cast are leading the much anticipated Zoolander 2, and in promotion for the gig Ben is gracing the cover of Vouge in character as Derek Zoolander with his co-star Penelope Cruz. Ben rocking some serious bird print while Penelope STUNS in a blue dress… And I’ve got to say it. They’re really, really, really ridiculously good looking.
Well, to some maybe… To others maybe not.
What we get inside the mag is an epic collaboration with Jourdan Dunn, Gigi Hadid, and Joan Smalls who are basically taking over today’s modeling industry, while it’s pretty clear that they were small children when Zoolander was first taking over the world, smelling of orange mocha frapachino’s and dominating the industry with campaigns like “Merman,” posing as a man mermaid for men’s moisturizer.
The loft that they shot in for Vouge was the same airy redbrick loft they used in the 2001 film as the apartment set for Hansel, Zoolander’s rival turned frenemy turned pal. There are all kinds of shots that feature Zoolander bent over and wearing a saddle; Zoolander getting his hair done AND Zoolander blowing off paparazzi all while rocking that signature look.
Now that Stiller’s back playing Zoolander he gushed on “Blue Steel” saying QUOTE: “It’s hard for me to not do it when somebody wants to take a picture with me. I just go into it, like a trained dog.”
Filming Zoolander 2 took place over three-and-a-half months in 2015 in Rome. Ben Stiller calls the experience “both awesome and crazy,”
The sequal is going to pick right back up with Derek and Hansel modelling again, while an opposing company attempts to take them out from the business… It’s going to be interesting because in the modeling world, these dudes have basically expired!!!
We know stars like Justin Bieber, Kristen Wiig and Billy Zane will be making appearances along with most of the original cast!!
