All of the stars were out tonight to celebrate the Critics Choice Movie Awards and between Michael Keaton and Boyhood --- we’re pretty sure no one else even received awards! Hey guys, you’re back at Clevver’s Trophy Life coverage and tonight we’re bringing you all of our favorite moments from tonight’s big show.
So Michael Strahan served as the show’s host … despite the show basically ever having a host before … and we’re pretty sure they’ll go back to that after this year’s disaster. Think we’re being harsh? Just take it from Michael Keaton in our first highlight …
… awkward. But seriously, Michael let’s leave the strip teases for Magic Mike… or at the very least have Channing join you.
Anyway moving onto our next best moment … now before you say anything, I had to put this one in here for all of my fellow Clevver hosts that all share a passion for rugged good looking men. #6 goes to Chris Hemsworth presenting the Louie “the 13th” Genius Award to Ron Howard.
Oh by the way, this moment has nothing to do with anything he actually said… he just looks like a greek god and we thought you’d want to know.
Next we have yet another excessively handsome Chris, because it seems like that’s a requirement for action stars these days. Anyway, Chris Pratt and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn took the stage to accept the award for Best Action Movie and Gunn wasted no time poking fun at poor Chris.
Moving onto our next highlight --- one of the biggest winners of the night. Mr. Birdman himself, Michael Keaton, who took home the award for Best Actor, Best Actor in a Comedy, and joined his Birdman cast for Best Ensemble. So including his presenting --- Michael took the stage 4 separate times and therefore had to keep his speeches entertaining. Here were just a few of our favorite parts.
Our number 3 spot goes to one of Hollywood’s cutest couples… possibly ever. When Emily Blunt took the stage to accept the award for Best Actress in an Action Movie --- John ran out from back stage to congratulate his lady before she could even say her speech. Check it out:
And just when we thought they couldn’t get any cuter … she says this:
Our next moment goes to another adorable duo that stole the show --- and this was honestly one of my favorite moments of all because it involves… Leslie Mann…Josh Gad… and one of the best animated musicals of all time… Frozen.
So if those two could star in a movie together like, tomorrow --- that would be great.
And now for our final moment of the night --- and don’t worry guys, this one actually has some substance. Our #1 highlight goes to the beautiful and talented Jessica Chastain for her inspirational acceptance speech in honor of Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday today. Take a look…
Okay so you know you did good when you leave Oprah saying, wow. Anyway, that wraps up our best and favorite moments from tonight’s Critics Choice Movie Awards! Let us know what your favorite moment was in the comments below and then click right over here to check out all of the winners from the night. I’m Ryland Adams for Clevver, see ya next time.
