Adele confirms her marriage to Simon Konecki during her Grammy’s thank you speech!
Well guys, for once the rumors are true! We can confirm that Adele really did marry her longtime partner thanks to her heartfelt Grammys speech…
After spending the majority of her time praising fellow Album of the Year nominee Beyonce--which made us all tear up--Adele went on to thank her manager, her son Angelo, AND her husband!
The moment was so casual for Adele, that had we not been dying to confirm the rumor that she and Simon Konecki had tied the knot recently, we might have missed it! But we were hanging on every word, so hearing the word “husband” come out of her mouth sent all of her fans into a straight up frenzy.
The news, while a very happy surprise for her fans, isn’t exactly a shock--Adele and Simon share a four year old son named Angelo together, and have been careful to keep their relationship out of the spotlight ever since they first got together in 2011. So when Adele was spotted wearing a band on her left ring finger last month and her reps had no comment on the matter, it didn’t take long for fans to put two and two together.
It’s especially cool to hear that Adele and Simon decided to tie the knot, because from everything Adele has said about her partner he’s totally perfect for her. Earlier this year she gushed about what makes him such an amazing match for her, telling Vanity Fair QUOTE, “I have no desire to be with anyone in show business because we all have egos...He’s not threatened by any stage of my life that I’m going for, and that’s an amazing thing. It’s the most serious relationship I’ve ever been in.”
Well if he put a ring on it, then yes!-- it’s now officially the most serious relationship she’s ever been in, and we couldn’t be happier for her!
