Welcome back to Clevver’s award show season, and with that said, Grammy tech dudes, “ALL I ASK” is to just listen to Adele with no interruptions… is that really too much?!
We’ve been anticipating it for weeks to come, and although Adele’s performance of one of her “25” album hits “All I Ask”, co-written by Bruno Mars who also introduced her tonight, was unforgettable to say the least, part of the reason may have been because of her out-of-whack audio that muted in and out throughout her performance.
But a true artist like Adele proved that mishaps like tonight’s audio was only a minor bump in the road, as she completely blew us all away. Take a look:
Try as it might, the sound did NOT throw Adele off her game, but of course the Twittersphere were off their rockers with hilarious tweets and memes that provided us with even more entertainment. One user bashed the sound technician, writing QUOTE, “The Audio Engineer is alot like a football kicker. No one knows who you are. Make a mistake and the world comes after you.#Grammys #Adele.”
Another user blamed the Biebs for the sound, saying, “It was Bieber's guitar ruining Adele's performance!” Ok, so that definitely wasn’t the case, seeing that Adele took to Twitter to set the record straight about the technical issues. She tweeted after her performance QUOTE, “The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that's what the guitar sound was. It made the sound out of tune. S--t happens."
But despite the minor mishap, Adele is STILL celebrating, because why wouldn’t she? She followed up her explanation by tweeting, “Because of it though... I'm treating myself to an in n out. So maybe it was worth it.”
Adele is our spirit animal. We are Adele. So regardless of the sound issues, I think I speak on behalf of the entire world when I say that we would gladly take Adele’s vocals in any way, shape or form because girl STILL crushed it.
But I’m curious to know what you guys thought about Adele’s Grammy performance, so get the conversation going right down here in the comments section below. After that, don’t forget to click right over here to check out album of the year winner Taylor Swift’s opening Grammy performance.
