Kendrick Lamar rocked the Grammys stage with a mind blowing performance and it’s all right here on Clevver’s Trophy Life.
Tonight was a big night for Kendrick! Not only was he nominated for a TON of Grammy awards, he also delivered a performance that everyone will be talking about for-everr.
Kendrick definitely brought his A game to the 2016 Grammys when he performed hit after hit off of his To Pimp a Butterfly album. The rapper kicked off his performance with a crazy, energetic rendition of his song ‘Blacker the Berry.’ Kendrick and the rest of his backup dancers wore glow-in-the-dark paint all over their outfits that lit up when the lights went off and the whole thing was just INSANE. Take a look.
Crazy, right? After that, Kendrick went right into his next song ‘Alright’ – which won two awards before the show started – and rapped in front of a HUGE bonfire on stage with female dancers dancing around him.
But before ending his amazing performance, Kendrick blew everyone’s mind by rapping a NEW, unheard track for the crowd in front of a simple backdrop. Just watch.
Pretty incredible right? The rapper got a huge standing ovation from his peers in the crowd, but are you surprised by that at all? No? I didn’t think so.
