Ariana Grande Debuts Never-Before-Seen Bee Tattoo In Honor of Manchester

Ariana Grande reveals her bee tattoo in honor of the victims of the Manchester terrorist attack.
May 22nd marked one year since the bombing, and with the new ink Ari is continuing to show solidarity with the victims.
Ari took to Twitter to share her never-before-seen bee tattoo, which features a tiny black bee symbol behind her ear. She captioned the picture of her subtle yet meaningful ink QUOTE, “forever”, followed by a cloud emoji.
The bee is significant as it became a symbol of love and support for the victims of the 2017 terrorist attack, which killed 22 people at Ari’s Manchester concert. Before the bombing, the worker bee was known as the unofficial mascot of Manchester and has been explained as QUOTE, “a symbol of the city’s hard-working past during the Industrial Revolution.”
Earlier this month, Ari opened up about the attack to Time magazine, telling the outlet that she thinks about what happened every single day, explaining QUOTE, “The last thing I would ever want is for my fans to see something like that happen and think it won...Music is supposed to be the safest thing in the world. I think that’s why it’s still so heavy on my heart every single day...I wish there was more that I could fix. You think with time it’ll become easier to talk about. Or you’ll make peace with it. But every day I wait for that peace to come and it’s still very painful.”
Ari and her family also paid respects to the victims by holding a vigil on the one year anniversary of the attack earlier this week. She also tweeted that day QUOTE, “Thinking of you all today and every day. I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day.”
