Cole Sprouse Reveals Time He Almost Quit Acting For Good

Acting was almost a thing of the past for Cole Sprouse.
Could you imagine Cole Sprouse just never acting again? Yeah, me neither.
After a successful career as a child actor, Cole and his twin brother Dylan decided to take a break from the world of glitz and glamor to focus on their higher education studies and believe it or not, the twins – especially Cole – almost didn’t returning to acting for good.
Cole opened up to Wonderland magazine about his nearly life-changing decision. He recalled that moment in time, saying QUOTE, “I went over to California from New York for a single week and I told my manager, ‘If I don’t book anything this pilot season I’m never coming back to this!” That’s a pretty big threat.
But sure enough after that comment, Cole landed the role of Jughead on Riverdale, decided to go for it and everything changed in a matter of minutes. When ‘Riverdale’ made its debut on television, it basically blew up which obviously made the decision of going back into the acting world the right decision for the 24-year-old actor.
However, Cole went on to confess that he was actually very hesitant about returning to Hollywood. He said QUOTE, “This whole last year and a half has been a process of me discovering if this is still the right choice or not. I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied with the answer, because I have an entire lifetime of critical thinking to complicate why this choice is so big and it comes from childhood and all this, yada yada yada. I felt ready for it and that’s an important indicator.”
While acting is his main gig, Cole dabbles in photography on the side. The actor previously photographed Kendall Jenner for The Sunday Times, so it’s not surprising he was chosen to take photos for ‘W’ magazine’s spread with Sophie Turner.
Cole captured so many gorgeous photos of Sophie in a high-fashion shoot that the magazine described them as “a Renaissance dream.” And I totally agree.
