All of Hollywood stood to its feet tonight to honor George Clooney at the Golden Globes. The actor was honored with the show’s most prestigious accolade – the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement award and right now Clevver’s Trophy Life has your look at the moment from George’s speech that still has people talking and generally just saying “AWWWW”
So in case you missed the memo, the ex-bachelor is officially off the market and his wife is a straight up classy girl boss. And there was nothing sweeter than seeing him publicly declare his love for her.
Obviously, George is no stranger to winning awards, as he’s snagged a total of three Golden Globes in the past, but it’s safe to say we can add “speechmaking” to his long list of accomplishments. He makes a bold move in his acceptance speech by explaining that although about 80% of the room will not win an award, everyone is a winner. He says, “For the record, if you are in this room, you’ve caught the brass ring. You get to do what you’ve always dreamed to do and be celebrated for it, and that just ain’t losing.” This man has the best attitude ever. And he’s 100% deserving of this award.
