Glee star Charice comes out as transgender and changes his name to Jake.

Jake took to social media to share his gender identity news, and is thanking friends for their overwhelming support.
Jake, formerly known as Charice and best recognized as playing Sunshine Corazon on “Glee”, is coming out and sharing his happiness for embracing who he really is in the public eye.
On Monday, Jake changed his name on all of his social media outlets from Charice to Jake and tweeted about the change, writing QUOTE, “My first tweet as Jake. Overwhelmed. Saw all your love comments and I’m so happy. Finally. I love you, everyone and see you soon.”
After fans shared their enthusiastic support for the Fillipino singer, Jake shared an Instagram post that simply said “Thank you”, captioning it QUOTE, “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and respect. I love you back and I’m sending peace to everyone.”
One supportive fan replied QUOTE, "Happy to see u living your story and your truth", while another added QUOTE, “So proud of you for being true to who you are”.
All previous social media posts from the singer under the Charice name were deleted, marking a fresh start for Jake.
