The next Taylor Swift? Well, is Simon Cowell said it, it must be true.
America’s Got Talent is known for finding the weirdest, craziest and totally sharable talents from all over the country, but on the newest episode, we may just have discovered the next big star. 12-year-old Grace VanderWaal seems like a normal, shy and adorable preteen that is, until she opens up her mouth to sing. So without further ado, here’s she is singing an original song she wrote, “I don’t know my name.”
And before you start picking up your jaw off the floor, check out when the songstress truly belts it out with her uke.
I love love love her voice, and the song. She looks so preppy and cute like Taylor with that bob haircut, but her voice has kind of a Lorde-esque style to it too! Obviously, the judges and the audiences alike were super impressed and even judge Howie Mandel pressed the Golden Buzzer to move her directly forward to the live performances. And then Simon said this:
This whole clip will give you the major feels. And I mean, what does Simon know about successful singers – he’s only help build up Little Mix, Fifth Harmony and uhhhh, what’s the band called? OH YEAH, One Direction!! Oh and honorable mention to Susan Boyle too…
