Katy Perry Beats Out Taylor Swift As Highest-Earning Woman In Music

Forbes reported that Katy Perry reigned supreme this year, beating out Taylor Swift for the highest earning woman in music.
Is it awkward when the woman you wrote a revenge song about makes more money than you? Nah, there’s no bad blood here.
Taylor made more headlines and sold more albums, but Katy ultimately came out on top in terms of money. Katy earned a whopping 135 million dollars thanks to her never ending Prismatic world tour as well as a butt ton of endorsements deals while Taylor racked in 80 million. Forbes gets their numbers by calculating pre-tax income from June 2014 to June 2015 while factoring in revenue from commercial ads, endorsement deals, tours, and album sales.
Fleetwood Mac came in third with 59.5 million while Lady Gaga placed fourth with 59 million. The top 5 was rounded off with Queen B in fifth with 54.5 million, which is crazy if you consider the fact that she hasn’t really done that much in the past year. I’m convinced B gets paid just for gracing the world with her presence every day. And I’m not mad about it.
