Taylor Swift REUNITES & Ends Beef With Katy Perry In New Music Video!

So, Taylor Swift dropped her music video for “You Need to Calm Down” and I for one, am having a REALLY hard time calming down!

Hey guys it’s Emile Ennis Jr with Clevver News and if you haven’t caught the video yet, I suggest you go and watch it right after you finish this video breaking it down for you.

It all takes place in this pastel paradise that’s pretty fitting for Taylor’s aesthetic for her 7th album.
I mean, really, everything from Taylor’s hair to the fence posts are painted some shade of neon.
Remember that cryptic, “there were five posts in the fence” tweet? Yeah, I still don’t get it.
Anyway, besides a cameo from a colorful fence, Taylor went through her rolodex to get a LOT of celeb friends to join her in the “You Need to Calm Down” video

Including *take a big breath and say them really fast* Ryan Reynolds, Laverne Cox, Ellen Degeneres, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita, Hayley Kiyoko, RuPaul, Billy Porter, The cast of Queer Eye, Ciara, Todrick Hall aaaand of course, Katy Perry and her hamburger costume.
Which I guess what this happy meal means is that the feud between Taylor and Katy is OFFICIALLY over once and for all.
And let me just say, after seven long grueling years of covering this, I am SO happy that I will never have to mention it again.

I mean, even Katy came to Twitter to say “This meal is BEEF-free”
And now I’m left wondering if Taylor is going to do anything for Katy’s next album, which should also be coming out sometime this year.

There are a few other things that you might not have noticed, besides all of the celeb cameos.

Like this reference to an iconic Cher quote
Or that this watch has a 13 but is missing the 1 and 2.
Part of me thinks that Taylor is trolling us all at this point … or at least trying to trip us up with all of these quote unquote “clues”

BUT there were a few that stuck out to me!

Hayley Kiyoko shooting an arrow into the number 5 makes me think that she may have a feature on the fifth track of “Lover”
And Ellen wasn’t getting “Cruel Summer” tattoo’d on her forearm just for funsies.

Somebody even noticed that Ellen had this tattoo when Taylor was on her show a few weeks ago.
Ok I knew Ellen and Taylor were friendly but I didn’t know they were THAT close that Ellen would get a damn tattoo on her arm for her!

But I mean, I guess this tracks. Taylor has been seen hanging out with a lot of the people who made cameos in her music video.

She performed at The Stonewall Inn over the weekend alongside Jesse Tyler Ferguson
And we obviously all remember her cookie date with Katy last week.
So, to no surprise, Taylor has been teasing this music video right under our noses for weeks now. And we finally get to enjoy it.
