Find out who won a coveted orange Blimp at the 2016 Kids Choice Awards, and who literally and figuratively got slimed at the show. Welcome back to Clevver’s 2016 award show season coverage.
There were a ton of deserving winners at the Kid’s Choice Awards this year, from Zendaya to Ariana Grande to everyone’s favorite movie from 2016, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Kid’s Choice Awards is all about young fans voting for their favorite movies, TV shows, and stars, and everyone that won tonight was loud and proud about how truly grateful they are for their fans.
Favorite movie went to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it was a pretty amazing moment when Chewbacca and BB-8 came onto the stage to accept their award. While we have no idea what they said during their short acceptance speech, we’re sure it came from the heart.
Later on in the show Zendaya won for Favorite Female TV star for her work on K.C. Undercover, and we couldn’t be more excited for her. She gave a heartfelt speech in which she shared how proud she is to be a role model for young people.
When it came to Favorite TV show The Thundermans took home the Orange Blimp, while Amy Poehler took to the stage to thank fans for her award for winning Favorite Voice in an Animated movie for her work as “Joy” in the movie Inside Out.
In the music categories, Ariana Grande won Favorite Female artist, beating out Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, while Justin Bieber won Favorite Male artist. Fifth Harmony took home the blimp for Favorite Music Group, and the 5H girls excitedly took the stage to accept the award and thank their fans before being getting an epic sliming!
