Taylor Swift, Fifth Harmony, Shawn Mendes, what do these celebs have in common? Well, besides the fact that they’ve all gone on tour with one another at one point in time, they were all winners tonight at the People’s Choice Awards!
Taylor, ‘Furious 7,’ Melissa McCarthy, and ‘The Big Bang Theory’ won big at the award show tonight -- they all took home two awards each. But, let’s get real for a second here, it isn’t an award show without a few upsets. Ed Sheeran won Favorite Male Artist over Justin Bieber – yeah, I’m shocked too, but, it was definitely a well-deserved win for the British singer. Don’t feel too bad for JB though. The singer’s hit song ‘What Do You Mean?’ took home the award for Favorite Song and he was up against some heavy hitters.
Fifth Harmony won Favorite Group while up-and-comer Shawn Mendes won the Favorite Breakout Artist award. Nicki Minaj was deemed the winner of the Favorite Hip-Hop Artist award and The Weeknd, who was up against the likes of Chris Brown, Ciara, Janet Jackson, and Ne-Yo, Favorite R&B Artist.
