Kim Kardashian is being accused of ripping off a clothing line and we have all the details right here!
Kim Kardashian is in some hot water due to her Kid Supply Line and she is being called a KopyKat and that’s copycat with a K
2017 is coming to an end, have we not learned anything from this year? Nothing gets passed the Internet. So it is no surprise that Internet is accusing Kim K for stealing design ideas from the likes of Rei Kawakubo and Demna Gvasalia.
Earlier this week Diet Prada an instagram account known for calling out fashion copycats posted side by sides of Kim’s line The Kids Supply to the original works and captioned the photos saying
“@kimkardashian ! Just when we thought you may have rocked the glitter better than Bey, you had to go and rip an extremely limited edition @commedesgarcons x Kosho & Co souvenir jacket for your @thekidssupplyline AND that one-of-a-kind custom sequin @vetements_official dress made specially for North. and then ended the post saying “Great message for the little ones!”
As you can see from the photos the jacket and dress are identical to the other designer’s pieces.
A representative for Kids Supply came to Kim’s defense by telling Page Six that the designs are not copycat pieces but instead homage to two designers. Saying quote “The idea behind Kids Supply is to give people the opportunity to purchase things that would never be available for children otherwise,” the representative said, adding that all profits from the two items would be given to charity.
Kim then commented on the matter via twitter echoing what the representative said saying “We took 2 pieces from North & Saint’s closet that are their favorite pieces & recreated them. 100% or the proceeds for those pieces are being donated to The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.”
All right here is the issue. Although this is for a great cause and Kim isn’t receiving any money from the pieces she did steal the designs. So I need to know your thoughts on this do you think its ok to use someone elses designs if its for charity or do you think its not ok to copy cat no matter what the outcome?
