There’s nobody in the world that does a better cover of Drake than Drake himself, but Shawn Mendes is a pretty close second.
Leave it to Shawn Mendes to cover one of Drake’s songs and just turn it into a brand new track.
On Tuesday, Shawn Mendes stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to perform a couple of songs and it’s safe to say he blew us all away with his performances. The singer was given the task of covering Drake’s ‘Fake Love’ and needless to say, he pretty much turned the rap track into, well, a whole new song.

I know it’s all the same words and melodies, but it seriously sounds so brand new. Drake would DEFINITELY be proud of that one. Aside from covering Drizzy, Shawn also performed his song ‘Mercy’ and it was equally as incredible.
