By now, we’re all very much aware that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin got legally hitched at a New York City courthouse last month. However, that doesn’t mean the two aren’t planning a huge bash to celebrate.
We know what you’re thinking: what would a celebrity wedding be without a famous musician there to perform? Well, good news, fam! Shawn Mendes has officially offered his services for the big day.
That’s right! While speaking with Access Hollywood at the Global Citizen Festival over the weekend, Shawn said that while he didn’t receive an invite to the wedding quite yet, he would be more than willing to perform at the event.
How sweet! Of course, Shawn’s willingness to sing at the wedding proves once again that all those pesky rumors about a feud between him, Justin and Hailey were false.
Back in July, Shawn tried to squash the rumors by reassuring fans that he texted Hailey immediately after the engagement to send his congratulations.
In a sit-down interview with Dave Thornton on the Australian show, The Project, Shawn said, QUOTE, “I texted Hailey the day of and I said ‘congrats’ and yeah, that’s what it is. I think everybody wants there to be more… there’s not.”
Later that month, however, Justin was featured on DJ Khaled’s song, “No Brainer,” and many fans speculated that the lyrics threw shade at Shawn. However, we can probably all agree that, since Shawn is willing to sing at Justin and Hailey’s wedding, there’s most likely no bad blood between these three.
Anyways, what do you guys think? Are you still convinced there’s beef between Shawn and Justin? Do you think Shawn should perform on their big day?
