THIS IS THE VOICE – with Taylor Swift joining the gang!
Yes, though T-Swift isn’t part of the new judge’s panel or anything, NBC did announce that the singer will be a quote “key adviser” to this season’s coaches Pharrell, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine. How exciting!
And if you’re curious as to what this will entail, Tay will basically be the mentor for all the various artists on each coach’s team, while also dishing out advice to the coaches themselves. If there’s one artist who is fit for this role, it’s certainly Taylor, aka, one of the BIGGEST artists in the world. We think she knows a thing or two about the music business. She’ll help the aspiring singers with their vocals, overall stage presence and the importance of choosing songs that fit their personalities. And don’t forget this isn’t her first time making a cameo on The Voice.
We’re stoked Tay is coming back to the show in a bigger and better way. And she isn’t the first famous face to lend a hand as an adviser on The Voice, as Coldplay front man Chris Martin served a very similar role during the show’s sixth season earlier this year.
Set your DVRs because Taylor’s first appearance on the NBC show will air on October 27 at 8 PM, and hey! Whaddya know, that’s also the same day her HIGHLY anticipated album 1989 comes out. She’ll also appear on the show’s October 28 episode as well as November 3 when the knockout round comes to a close.
And just in case you’re not totally up to date on all things The Voice, during the knockout round coaches can steal contestants from each other, and the remaining contestants get to go to the Playoff Round.
