We are just two days away from hearing “Reputation” in it’s entirety and although it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting any more singles before the release, we now know every title to every song on the album. Just a couple days ago, the popular leaking site, ‘Has It Leaked’ got a hold of the full track list and posted it up on their site. The owner of the site has since gotten cease and desist requests from Taylor’s legal team for posting the track list, as well as the album art.
The ‘Has It Leaked’ Twitter account spoke out on the matter, saying QUOTE “Taylor’s rep are sending out copyright takedowns on anyone who post photos of the album. Insane. It’s an album cover!” They even went on to call it “one of the most insane copyright notices” they’ve ever received.
Apparently, it wasn’t just ‘Has It Leaked’ that got into trouble. Anyone who then took that photo and shared it to their platform also found themselves in hot water. Like, Perez Hilton, for instance. He shared the much-talked about photo on his personal twitter, then received a takedown notice from Tay’s Record Label and shortly after , his Twitter account was suspended.
Once it was too late and many had already seen the picture, despite Swift’s team’s efforts to have them taken down, Taylor decided to take matters into her own hands and post the track list herself on Instagram.
So let’s go through these songs, shall we? The album starts with the song we all know and love “…Ready For It” then moves on to a new jam called “End Game” which features both Ed Sheeran AND Future. Sounds like an epic collab to me. Also, how excited are you she’s teaming up with Ed again?
Next up we have “I Did Something Bad,” “Don’t Blame Me, “Delicate.” Then of course, the unforgettable “Look What You Made Me do.”, and others like, “And So It Goes…,” “Gorgeous.” , “Getaway Car,” “King Of My Heart,” “ Dancing With Our Hands Tied,” “Dress,” “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” “Call it What You Want,” and the rumored to be very emotional song, “New Years Day.”
I’m sure you are just as excited as we are to hear all these new songs in just a couple days, but unless you have preordered or are planning on buying the new album, you may have to wait a little bit longer to hear “Reputation.” Bloomberg reported that representatives of Taylor Swift have told Streaming-music partners that her new album won’t be available to stream for at least the first week of release and are reportedly still negotiating exactly when it will be available to stream. Hopefully it won’t be longer than a week.
I can’t believe we are only TWO DAYS away from “Reputation’s” release, but in the meantime I want to turn it over to you guys. How are you feeling about all this legal action Taylor’s team is taking? Do you feel that it’s warranted or are they trying too hard to control the media? Also, which songs are you most excited to hear based merely on their titles? Let me know in the comments below and when you’re done with that, click right over here to see why Taylor was blasted after trying to sue critics. As always, I’m your girl Renee Ariel and I gotta go back to counting down the hours until Reputation is finally released. Bye guys!
