Tiffany Haddish and Taylor Swift are tag-teaming on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, and if the show’s promo is any indication, it’s about to be one hell of a weekend.
THE Tiffany Haddish? NEW Taylor Swift music? Deliver me Postmates and don’t bother calling because my Saturday night is offish booked.
We’re just gonna go ahead and dedicate the month of November to the one and only T-Swift. First her Reputation album release after three years, and now a musical guest performance during this weekend’s SNL – seriously did Christmas come early, or did we just hit the musical jackpot?
We already know Tay is set to perform on SNL, which airs tomorrow night, and while the question of WHAT she’ll be performing is still up in the air, the promo just released for this weekend’s episode featuring Taylor and breakout Girls’ Trip star Tiffany Haddish is giving us LIFE.
And really, can you blame Tiffany? It’s only every Swifties’ dream to have a song written about them, so tomorrow night might just be Tiff’s lucky night. But as excited as we are to see Taylor perform multiple tracks off Reputation for the first time ever, we can only imagine the pure laugh-out-loud comedy Tiffany will bring – hopefully just without a grapefruit this time... So if you haven’t seen Girls’ Trip, (then seriously what have you been doing with your life?), if there’s one thing you should know about Tiffany Haddish, it’s that girlfriend PUSHES BUTTONS.
You’re just gonna have to tune in tomorrow night to see what happens when Tiffany pushes buttons, but get ready for even more laughs, shade, and dance moves to come. Tomorrow night marks Taylor’s first SNL appearance since the 40th anniversary back in 2015, but more significantly, Tiffany will make history as the first black female comedian to host the show.
Be sure to set those DVRs for tomorrow at 11:30 p.m. eastern time on NBC, and if you stayed up til midnight eagerly waiting for Reputation to drop, I promise, one more night won’t kill you. But right now I gotta know all your thoughts on Taylor and Tiffany’s SNL promo and what songs you think Tay will sing, so get to talking down here in the comments and after that, click right over here to see why Taylor faced backlash on Twitter following her SNL announcement. Thanks for hanging out with me here on Clevver News, I’m your host Naz Perez and I’ll see you next time.
