TVD Cast gives romance advice►►
You might want to be sitting down for this rewind on last night's season finale of the Vampire Diaries, because just thinking about what went down is probably going to push into a state of hysterical crying. And this time, I'm not even being mellow dramatic. First off, the Travelers have taken over Mystic Falls and Bonnie and the rest of the group basically realize that the only way to bring Stefan back and fix this whole blood ritual issue is to kill all of the travelers, so they hatch a plan whereby they'll blow up the Mystic Grill with all of the Travelers inside. Matt and Jeremy start a gas leak in the basement and then Damon offers to drive a car straight into the place and blow it to shreds. Obviously, he'll die, but Bonnie should be able to bring everyone back from the other side. So he decides to go for it. But before that happens, there's a ton more drama. First off, Stefan is on the other side, but he's not alone. He's reunited with his BFF Lexi (how much do we love seeing her by the way) and guess who else they're looking for? ALARIC! Could this episode get any better? Well, the answer is both yes and no. Liv, aka Crazylocks, is forced into helping Bonnie with the spell after they kill her witchy twin brother as collateral -- if she doesn't do the spell, then Bonnie won't be able to bring her brother back from the other side. So you guys get it. Long story short -- Damon tells Elena about his suicide mission and she decides to go with him. THis leads to some big romance and them kissing, talking about their future, sharing unspoken I love yous and then ultimately blowing up together and killing the travelers. Elena arrives on the other side and can't find Damon, but guess who finds her and tells her he'll take care of Damon? ALARIC! Yes, he's back! He and Damon share the sweetest reunion ever. And since the spell is happening at this point, everyone on the other side starts coming back -- Tyler (did I ever mention he was dead too? Oh yeah he was) but when he comes back he's no longer a hybrid -- he's just a wolf. Stefan comes back, Elena comes back, Enzo comes back and even Alaric comes back...but Damon never makes it through...and neither does Lexi who stays on the other side to kill Markos for good. Liv stops her spell at the forced hand of her brother (who is back from the other side) but she does it before Damon can make it through. And here's' where the devastation starts. Elena loses it and I've gotta take a second to hand it to Nina Dobrev -- just watching this scene and watching her cry such authentic tears, made me start crying. So good. Stefan is devastated that both Damon and Lexi are gone (and yes, Caroline comforts him). Bonnie is then forced to tell Jeremy the truth...that once the other side is gone, she'll be going with it. He freaks out and runs to her and just as he gets to her, the other side begins to disappear. Bonnie and Damon are the only ones left there and they hold hands -- and screen turns to white. It's over . It's done. We're left completely hysterical because Elena has lost Damon, Bonnie is gone and we have no clue how they'll ever come back. Yes, we're excited to see Alaric...but what does all of this mean? Scouts honor, I was crying during this episode -- these TVD season finales are always the stuff magic is made of. SO what did you guys think of the finale? And what do you think about Damon being gone and Alaric being back and be honest -- were you freaking out during that goodbye scene between Damon and Elena -- hit the comments section to weigh in and click here to check out our interviews with the cast -- you guys will love it! I'm Joslyn Davis at Clevver headquarters, thanks for watching and we'll see you next time!
