Adele Dedicates Heartfelt Song To Amy Winehouse & Says She "Owes" Her Career To Her

There’s no doubt that after this performance, the entire audience, Amy included, could definitely feel the love.
Adele’s sold out show in Boston on Wednesday night was a special one to say the least. On what would have been late singer Amy Winehouse’s 33rd birthday, Adele took a moment to celebrate Amy and all of her accomplishments, all while crediting Amy with her success.
In case you had trouble hearing that, Adele spoke to the Boston crowd, claiming that, “I feel like I owe 90 percent of my career to her. Because of her, I picked up a guitar and because of her, I wrote my own songs. The songs I got signed on were the songs that I wrote completely on my own – if it wasn’t for her, that wouldn’t have happened… Her first album, Frank, it really changed my life.”
And in true Adele fashion, she goes on to mention that QUOTE, “I’d see her on TV or in magazine shoots with a pink electric guitar and I used to think she was the coolest motherfucker on the face of the Earth.” Well put, I must say.
She then dedicated a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” to the late singer with the help of thousands of iPhone flashlights, and cue the uncontrollable CHILLS, you guys.
Everyone was sure feelin’ the love that night, as I’m sure birthday girl Amy was smiling down on Boston listening to the sweet tribute.
