Back in 2010 just at the age of 19 Demi sought treatment in rehab for an eating disorder, self-harming, alcohol and drug abuse but today she is celebrating being sober for four years. The special day is March 15th.
She celebrated the anniversary by reflecting on the struggles of her past year including the loses of multiple family members and beloved pets by saying on twitter
“This last year I experienced so much life and too much death... But I made it through... Sober. ‪#4Years‪ #GodsWill‬ “
With out a doubt Demi is a huge role model. She urges her fans to believe that anything is possible because even she on her darkest days never believed it was possible to get clean or turn her life around.
Her story is truly one of triumph.
