In this video we visit Zakaria Laksa Teluk Kechai in the state of Kedah in Malaysia to sample their Laksa Kedah. Laksa is a noodle soup that can be found all over Malaysia. Pretty much each state has their own version of laksa and the ingredients vary.

The Kedah laksa is made up of a fish broth made of an oily fish often sardine or mackerel, rice noodles, daun kesom (laksa leaf), cucumber, boiled egg and sambal. What’s special about Zakaria Laksa Teluk Kechai is that they make the rice noodles each morning before service so they are fresh. We get to see incredible noodle making at work. We take you into the kitchen to check out how they make their rice noodles and the taste a bowl of their Kedah Laksa. Delicious is an understatement!!
