The wait is finally over and the mystery is finally beginning! For all you John Green fans out there, the trailer for his most recent book-turned-movie, Paper Towns, is out, and this mysterious love adventure story has got us raising our hands with all kinds of questions!
That’s right, we could not be more excited to see Nat Wolff return to the big screen, but this time, his character, Quentin, aka “Q” takes on a much bigger role than his character in The Fault In Our Stars. For those of you who have no idea what this movie is about, Q falls for his neighbor, Margo, who is played by Cara Delevigne, and side note: After reading the book, Cara could not be suited for this role any more perfectly! So by the time they start high school, they run on completely different paths, but then Margo sneaks into Q’s window one night asking him for a favor, and the next morning, POOF, she’s gone! Ok this is like some teen Gone Girl shizzz happening here!
So as if I didn’t just give the whole movie away (except for the ending), here’s a couple highlights I noticed from the Paper Towns trailer. First up, GIVE IT UP FOR CARA’S A+ AMERICAN ACCENT!
She seriously slayed it, you guys! Oh and we should mention that not only did we notice her accent, but her fellow American pal Taylor Swift also gave the thumbs up, after retweeting a link to the trailer and tweeting, QUOTE, “@Caradelevingne YOUR AMERICAN ACCENT” followed by many clapping hands.
Next up, we tried to count all the pranks Margo and Q play on her cheating scumbag ex-boyfriend, but we have a feeling there are going to be plenty more throughout the movie. Things like graffiti-ing, saran-wrapping a car, taking blackmail naked pictures, annnnd something involving a dead fish will all be part of Margo’s revenge.
But, I mean, we can only hope Nat’s impressive egg-throwing skills, like in TFIOS will also be part of the pranking!
For our third highlight, so we know that Margo drifts away somewhere unknown, but Q takes drifting in a minivan to a whole nuthhaaa level!
Ok, so I may have peed a little just watching that clip. TMI? And next we have the huge rager scene because every edge-of-your-seat mystery movie’s gotta have one of those let loose celebratory scenes, right? Somehow Q and his friends who accompany him on his journey end up at what looks like a huge mansion party, but they aren’t the only ones who are dressed to the nines. Margo also appears in Q’s room for a hot sec looking like a stunning Little Red Riding Hood, dressed in a red silk gown, and all made up. Hmmm do you think she was secretly at the party with them? Maybe she’s just been spying on them this whole time? UGH the questions keep piling up!!

And lastly, we have to end on a sappy note, and I just have to mention that there is a small glimpse of a kiss from Margo to Q… Yes, it’s downright adorable and although he’s asleep when she goes in for the kill, this has GOT to mean he’s going to find her and they’re going to end up together, right… RIGHT? RIGHT!?!?!!!!
So how excited are you to see Nat in a nother John Green movie, AND the model-turned-actress-turned-American-accent, miss Cara Delevingne, make her acting debut on the big screen? If you read the book, share your predictions in the comments section below, and if you haven’t, do you think Q will end up finding Margo and they’ll live happily ever after?!
