Rihanna took to Instagram with a hilarious meme to clap back at a sports reporter who called her fat.
I would love to print up and frame every time Rihanna’s clapped back and hang them up on my wall.
Last week Chris Spags, a sports reporter for Barstool wrote a piece called “Is Rihanna Going To Make Being Fat The Hot New Trend?”
In a quote from the now deleted article Chris says, “A world of ladies shaped like the Hindenburg loaded into one-piece bathing suits may be on the horizon now that Rihanna is traipsing around out there looking like she's in a sumo suit.”
Many people took to twitter to defend Rih saying the piece was fat-shaming.
Allure Magazine tweeted QUOTE, “Using misogyny & body-shaming women as a way to earn Twitter engagement is a pretty pathetic path to success. Just FYI.”
Dave Portnoy, the editor of Barstool defended the blog post early on, simply saying it wasn’t funny but it wasn’t as bad as people said. But after a lot, and I mean a LOT of backlash, he suspended Chris Spags indefinitely.
And then the moment we all were waiting for happened. Rihanna responded with humor and sass.
She posted on Instagram yesterday a meme of Gucci Mane that said, “If you can't handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don't deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane”
Rihanna coming through hot with the clap back we all wanted. The clap back fat-shaming deserves.
This isn’t the first time Rih has took to Instagram to clear things up.
When she split from Drake last year we got this gem saying “None of my exs are married or in happy relationships so it's safe to say that I wasn't da problem lol.”
And that time Instagram removed her account because of the semi-nude magazine cover she posted, she clapped back with this meme that said “Rih’s next magazine cover if it was up to Instagram”
So what do you think of Rihanna’s clap back this time? Let us know in the comments below. Then click over here to watch how Chloe Grace Moretz responded to her snow white body shaming poster. Thanks for watching Newsfeed, I’m your host Ava Gordy and we’ll see you guys next time!
