Selena Gomez's Mom OPENS UP After Daughter's Kidney Transplant Surgery

Earlier last week we learned that Selena went into major surgery earlier this summer for a kidney transplant to help treat her lupus. Thankfully everything was successful and Selena is well now, thanks to her ride or die friend Francia Raisa who donated one of her kidney’s to Selena. Now that is one heck of a friend. You may recognize Francia from The Secret Life of the American Teenager or Bring It On: All or Nothing.
Selena’s mom has since spoken out post surgery about what she went through during this entire process. She posted the same photo Selena did on instagram of Selena and Francia lying in hospital beds smiling at one another on instagram along with a beautiful caption saying QUOTE – “This picture is one of the most breathtaking images that will live with me forever. For all those moments of not knowing if we were going up or going down, I can always come back to this picture and know we can always make it back up. As a mother I was helpless, scared and all I could do was pray for both of them, Francia's beautiful family. I am pretty sure I am banned from that hospital. Mama Bear was in high gear. Selena gained a kidney, I was able to keep my little girl, but I also gained another daughter....thank you to everyone who was there for Sel, Francia and our families. We survived from all the love, prayers and God.”
Francia’s mom has also spoken out about her daughter’s selfless act saying QUOTE - "Francia did it for friendship, for her love for Selena, and because they care a lot for each other. She didn't receive any benefit from this, only the benefit of Selena having a better life." What a beautiful story, it gives me chills.
