2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards Winners List - Stranger Things, Hidden Figures

We’ve got your winners recap from the 2017 MTV Movie and TV awards, right here on News Feed...
It was an epic night for movies and TV, with some major fan favorites going home with that coveted golden popcorn.
The MTV Movie and TV awards celebrated the best of the best in film and television so let’s break down the big winners, starting with the TV categories. Millie Bobby Brown won Best TV actor for Stranger Things, which took home the award for Best TV Show overall.
Can’t argue with that. In other TV categories, Black-ish received the award for “Best American Story”, meanwhile Jeffrey Dean Morgan took home the popcorn for Best Villain, beating out Jared Leto’s Joker from Suicide Squad, Allison Williams from Get Out, and the Demogorgon from Stranger Things. Now THAT’S an acceptance speech I would have been very curious to see.
Best Reality Show Competition went to RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Best Host went to The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah.
In the film categories, Emma Watson won Best Actor in a Movie for Beauty and the Beast, which also took home the popcorn for Best Movie overall. Best Hero went to Taraji P. Henson for Hidden Figures, Best Comedic Performance went to the hilarious Lil Rel Howery for his work as the greatest TSA agent of all time in Get Out.
Other notable awards went to “This is Us” for Best Tearjerker Moment, thanks to the scene between Jack and Randall at karate, and Hidden Figures for the “Best Fight Against the System” category. The Generation Award went to “Fast and Furious”, which was accepted by star of the franchise, Vin Diesel.
Of course we can’t leave out the traditionally most important and coveted category of them all at the MTV awards--Best Kiss. This year the award went to Ashton Sanders and Jharrel Jerome for their same-sex kiss in Moonlight. The entire audience gave the epic moment a standing ovation, and the internet surged with tweets of approval.
