Chord Overstreet Confirmed for Final Glee Season

It’s confirmed that Chord Overstreet – aka Sam Evans – will be back for entirety of the sixth and final season. Yayyyy!
Though there have been some casting shake ups, such as Naya Rivera’s limited appearance moving forward, Chord told E! News that he is indeed headed back to work next month and he “assumes” he’ll be part of every episode of the show’s final 13-episode season. And even though not many details are known, he also added this little tidbit, saying:
QUOTE "I know I am back in Ohio at the school… I know the writers are three to four episodes in right now and from what I've heard it's really fun stuff."
We can’t wait to see the new eps – but we’re going to have to considering the show’s final season won’t air on FOX until spring 2015. Womp womp.
And in case you haven’t heard, there’s going to be a bit of a time jump for the upcoming season, though we’re not exactly sure how much of a time jump it’ll be. Also, in addition to Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Darren Criss all returning, there will be a number of new roles added to the cast.
They’re reportedly looking to fill five new roles that’ll all be sophomores at McKinley High, including boy-girl twin Cheerios and a gay football stud. Color us intrigued.
In addition to that, creator Ryan Murphy has assured former Glee stars that they’re more than welcome to come back, as he made this statement:
"My feeling about the last season of Glee is very clear, and that is that we will be reaching out to all of the regulars on the show, that original group of Glee club members and the teachers, and anybody who wants to come back can come back. Anybody who wants to be a part of the show, we welcome them."
