Lorde took home the moonman for Best Rock Video and accidentally slipped a four letter word in the midst of the excitement. Lorde accepted the award for her chart topping single, “Royals” and was all smiles as she made her way to the stage. Lorde was seated next to a friend of hers along with Taylor Swift and it was clear that the excitement was mutual. Lorde was sporting her traditional black threads with a hint of sparkle around the waist. She seemed to be a tad confused on which camera to look at, but let’s be real that stage was confusing. She didn’t get it right but it’s all good we heard what she had to say. She thanked her video director, family, friends from school, and then accidentally slipped in a little profanity when she remembered she had to thank the fans! Those pesky four letter words, hey it happens, she couldn’t help that it was live television. And honestly, it’s the VMA’s, worse things have happened so don’t trip FCC.
