【本報訊】本港今年已累積的鸚鵡熱感染個案多達15宗，創下新高，為2008年該病列入須呈報傳染病以來最多，暫未發現個案有流行病學上的關連，近期也沒有發現鸚鵡熱衣原體出現基因變異的病例。傳染病科醫生提醒市民應避免接觸野鳥，飼養雀鳥的人需注意清潔措施，避免雀鳥交叉傳播疾病，處理雀糞要戴口罩及手套。
