Selena Gomez REVEALS When New Music Is Coming

Fans have been waiting for a new Selena Gomez album for a long time, but it looks like they’re going to have to continue being patient.

Selena Gomez is waiting for the right moment to release her next CD.
Selena Gomez hasn’t released an album since 2015’s Revival and to say fans are desperate for new music would be an understatement. But even though the 25-year-old singer has been working on it for two and a half year, we’re going to have to wait a little while longer before anything comes out. Selena told PopSugar she’s waiting for the perfect time to release it, but isn’t quite sure when that is.
She said QUOTE “I don't know when the right moment is. And I really mean that, not in a way that I'm trying to be mysterious or cool."
I know her answer is super frustrating, but her reasoning behind it actually makes a lot of sense.
She explained QUOTE “It's hard to have a voice and make sure that your content means something.”
So basically, Selena doesn’t want to just put anything out there -- she wants her music to have meaning and I don’t blame her for that. She’s been working on the album for quite some time now, and even posted a picture of herself in the studio at the end of last year.
She captioned the photo QUOTE “Currently. Until the next year. Here’s where I’ll be.”
But that wasn’t the first time Selena was in the studio working on the new album. Shortly after she was named Billboard’s 2017 Woman of the Year, she admitted that she actually has a TON of music ready and that it’ll be released soon.
She explained QUOTE “To be honest, I feel like I have two albums already completed, but I'm wanting to figure it out. So it's a lot sooner than I think people anticipate. I want to call the shots, I want it to be good, I want to be ready, I don't want to do anything that's forced. It will be soon."
Here’s what we know: Selena has a lot of music ready to be released, but she wants to find the perfect moment to actually release it. Hopefully that moment will come soon, because although “Wolves” and “Bad Liar” were great, I need a full-length Selena Gomez CD, like, yesterday. When do you think she’ll release the album?
