On Monday, Nickelodeon announced the nominees for the highly anticipated 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards, the only awards show that’s basically by and for kids and celebrates our favorite celebs across film, TV, music and even social media. WWE Superstar John Cena, who will return as host come showtime March 24. So you still have some time to figure out who you’re voting for. The nominees for Favorite Female Artist include Beyoncé, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Pink, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift. That’s hard. Favorite Male Artist nominees include Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, Ed Sheeran, Luis Fonsi, Kendrick Lamar and Shawn Mendes. How do you choose?! It’s like picking between your children. I think the most exciting category though is Best Breakout Star which includes the nominees Alessia Cara, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Harry Styles, Khalid and Noah Cyrus. Alessia is thrilled and she told E! News QUOTE “Thanks so much Kids' Choice Awards for nominating me this year. It's really cool to be considered, especially by a demographic that has been so supportive of my music." Meanwhile, Camila who’s having the best year of her life said, QUOTE “I'm so excited to be nominated for Favorite Breakout Star at the KCAs. The past year has been so special for me and I'm so grateful for all the support. Thank you Nickelodeon!!” As for Favorite TV Show the noms are Fuller House, Henry Danger, K.C. Undercover, Power Rangers, Ninja Steel, Stranger Things (duuuh), The Big Bang Theory, The Flash and The Thundermans. And favorite movies include Beauty and the Beast, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Pitch Perfect 3, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, The Greatest Showman, Wonder Woman. They got it right. Like sometimes I look at the nominees and I’m like- really? But this year they got it right. Most importantly, you can start voting today. Nickelodeon will be rolling out a new, four-week voting wave, where new categories will be revealed each week leading up to the show. Right now you can vote for all the film-related categories via Nickelodeon’s digital platforms like Nick.com and the Nick App on using special KCA hashtags and the hashtag of your favorite nominee.
