【本報訊】鹽與鈉經常被混為一談,究竟鹽是否等同鈉?註冊營養師潘仕寶表示,鈉是身體所需的礦物質之一,天然存在於食物及食水中,並可透過日常飲食中的醬料如鹽、豉油、蠔油及味精攝取到高鈉。食鹽是氯化鈉的化合物,當中鈉佔40%,故鹽並非百分百等同鈉。吃高鈉食物,只靠飲水不能排走體內過多的鈉,進食鉀質豐富食物如香蕉、堅果等可紓緩情況。
